On May 5, 2020, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved a modified Self-Identification form for individuals with disabilities. OFCCP requested approval of the modified form last year.
Because OFCCP realizes that change takes time, they are giving federal contractors until August 4, 2020 to incorporate the new form into their hiring and employee processes. Until that time, federal contractors are required to continue use of their current form approved in 2017.
For assistance with implementation, OFCCP has created an FAQs section.
Contractors are required to solicit self-identification information from:
- All applicants both pre- and post-hire
- All employees at least once every 5 years
